Skin Rejuvenation Treatments
The natural aging process can take a toll on every part of the body, including the skin. Genetics, sun exposure, acne and injury are some of the other things that can contribute to changes in your skin’s texture and appearance. We at Precision Medicine Aesthetics are here to help revitalize your skin to make it look healthier, firmer, and smoother, so that you look and feel younger!
We have treatments for all areas of the body from head to toe, including hair, face, neck, arms, hands, chest, abdomen, and legs.
Microneedling
Microneedling, also known as Percutaneous Collagen Induction (PCI) or Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), is a cosmetic procedure which involves pricking the skin with tiny, sterilized needles. It is a minimally invasive procedure which creates tiny wounds. In healing these wounds, the body builds more skin tissue, elastin and collagen which has the effect of giving you smoother, firmer and more toned skin. This in turn makes you look younger. Microneedling has also been shown to be beneficial to other conditions like fine lines and wrinkles, acne, scaring, large pores, stretch marks, sun damaged skin, dark spots (melasma), hair loss, and reduced skin elasticity.

The procedure can be performed on almost any part of the body, for example the face, head/scalp, hands, abdomen, or thighs.

Nourishing creams and serums containing growth factors can be placed on the microneedled areas after the procedure to help promote healing and the generation of collagen, elastin, and healthy skin. Growth factors are proteins that stimulate the appropriate healing cells of the body (e.g., fibroblasts) to produce collagen, elastin, etc.
Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) can also be used since it directly contains your own platelets and growth factors which stimulate the aforementioned healing process.
Microneedling, combined with red-light therapy provides a powerful 1-2 punch for skin rejuvenation, since the red-light therapy also stimulates collagen building.
Most microneedling treatment courses need at least 6 treatments spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart. Microneedling uses the body’s natural healing ability, so the results appear gradually.

Unlike traditional cosmetic surgery where results are noticeable almost instantly and then slowly deteriorate, microneedled areas continue to sustain increased levels of collagen and elastin levels months after the treatment course has completed.
A related therapy called nanoneedling is similar to microneedling. Nanoneedling uses smaller needles than microneedling and makes shallower “wounds” than microneedling. It is a non-invasive way to deliver hydration and nutrients by pushing nutritional serums into the top layer of the skin. Because nanoneedling only affects the top skin layer, it can be performed as often as once per week.
Unlike microneedling, nanoneedling does not stimulate the body’s ability to heal- it only provides supplemental nutrition. Thus, nanoneedling is a very effective means to deliver extra collagen, elastin or other nutrients to the skin for the body to use between microneedling treatments.
